A little bit about how I can help you
Hi! I’m Eileen. I use my 30+ year counseling and teaching experience to assess what interventions are going to make the most difference in getting you to your goal in the shortest amount of time. My training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and breath work will guide our plan of action. I have found the combination of these to be extremely successful in helping people overcome anxiety and in experiencing mental well-being, often for the first time in a long time. Not to mention that I can personally vouch for them! In addition to those approaches, I’ll see how current research and understanding of what we know from neuroscience, positive psychology, functional nutrition and the practice of self-compassion can help you.
Throughout the years, I've worked with children, adolescents, adults and families, This diversity of experience has led me to a deeper understanding of the way we develop, react and respond to each other and life's ups and downs. All of that goodness is used to help create a plan targeted to your unique and personal experience.
Let’s get to work!
I'm the get 'er done kinda gal which means I am totally interested in helping you reach your goals. Meeting once a week, 50 minutes, for 10 sessions and you will see serious results. Too much to squeeze into weekly, let’s figure out a schedule that works for you. I'm all for scaffolding changes so if you'd like daily emails for support or reflection, those are included too.
You take the lead..
Our session conversations are driven by what you feel is most pressing. Whether it is in terms of problem solving around your challenges, working towards your overall life goals, or anything else in between.
but I’ll follow
But that's not to say I don't come without my clipboard of questions I want to ask and skills I want to teach. I view our work as a partnership and because time is precious, I want every minute to count!
